About Anon.

Anon. is one of New Zealand's leading vocal ensembles. Formed as a male voice sextet in October 1996 they performed their debut concert at the National War Memorial in November 1996. By the end of 1997 the group had expanded both its repertoire and membership by becoming a mixed voice ensemble - a format the group still retains!

Between December 1997 and July 2003, Anon. performed eighteen Wellington concerts as well as singing in Nelson in 1998 and Taupo in 2001.

After a 10-year hiatus, Anon. reformed in 2013 and are now firmly re-established in the Wellington music scene.

The group considers itself lucky to be able to draw on the talents of a number of excellent Wellington singers thus enabling the performance of larger scale works and ensuring continued variety of sound and programming.

Anon. specialises in Acappella music from the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries, and where ever possible looks to perform one-voice to a part.

Whether you've heard Anon. in the past, or are just interested in hearing great choral music performed with passion and skill, we encourage you to come along to one of our concerts.  We're sure you'll not be disappointed!
